Kashmir Solidarity Day 2021

05 February 2021 at the official residence of Ambassador. Guests from different walks of life including, scholars, journalists, and members of Pakistani community attended the event. Keeping in view the pandemic related restrictions, participation was kept at minimum.

After recitation from the Holy Quran, Messages of President, Prime Minister on ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ were read out. A short documentary highlighting human rights violations committed by India in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, since 5 August 2019, was also played. 

Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan in his remarks: Underlined the importance of Kashmir Solidarity Day; (ii) Reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the just cause of the Kashmiris of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) (iii) condemned the grave violation of human rights in the IIOJK; (iv) Reaffirmed that Pakistan will keep extending its moral and diplomatic support to the just cause of Kashmiris and; (iv) Called upon the UN to resolve the Kashmir Dispute in accordance with its resolutions.
